Looking for something to get your kids moving this summer? Well, look no further! 5 Alarm is excited to announce the return of our Kids program beginning Wednesday, June 7th at 10:00 am. This program will run every Wednesday for the month of June. If we have enough interest for a second session in July, we will continue for an additional 4 weeks. Below, you’ll find the breakdown by age group.
Pre K: Ages 3 – 5 / 10:00am – 10:30am / $50/kid
Kids: Ages 6 – 12 / 10:00am – 10:45am / $60/kid
Pre K will focus on basic movements such as squatting, pressing, sit-ups, and burpees. This age group will use PVC pipes and pool noodles in place of barbells and each session will have a game at the end. Our goal here is to make exercise fun and work on quality of movement & following directions.
Kids will still focus on movement quality and basic skills however, as they become proficient, they’ll be able to start using weights such as dumbbells and kettlebells. While we don’t play games every week in this group, our goal is still to have fun while exercising and staying healthy.
Coach Leah will be heading up the program. In addition to being a CF-L2 trainer, she is also a certified CrossFit Kids trainer and has 6 years of experience working with kids in this capacity.
