Small Group, In Person Programs
The following programs are offered in small group settings within the walls of Five Alarm Fitness. All of those sessions are coached in their entirety by one of our expert team members.
TOTAL is our take on General Physical Preparedness (GPP) programming, and GPP is all about being incredibly well-rounded, prepared, and capable. It’s a training methodology and mindset that helps prepare athletes for whatever life throws their way. Every day brings a new and exciting challenge to TOTAL!
In this incredibly diverse program, athletes will literally train everything to be prepared for just about anything. Some workouts might be a sprint (short, fast, and light) while others might be a grind (long, slow, and/or heavy). Movements will include everything from cardio and gymnastics to powerlifting and Olympic lifting. TOTAL will touch all ends of the fitness spectrum, but on most days athletes will train right in “the middle” for the most intensity and greatest power output!

BUILD combines daily classic strength training and conditioning into one highly-effective program. Each day, BUILD athletes tackle a strength component followed by a “MetCon” workout (MetCon = metabolic conditioning… a fancy way of saying you’re going to work hard!).
Strength training in BUILD revolves around the core lifts: squats, presses, deadlifts, and an introduction to Olympic lifts. In addition to these core lifts, athletes will also gain exposure to accessory, midline, and bodyweight strength focuses on occasion.
The workout portion of BUILD often borrows core movement patterns from the strength training and turns up the heat a little by incorporating higher-intensity formats and combinations. Our BUILD workouts focus on the duration, loading, volume, and movement complexity ranges that deliver the most bang for the buck. In BUILD, we intentionally cut out the “highest and lowest ends” of the spectrum in order to focus on packing the biggest punch in every workout.
The goal of BUILD is to tackle strength and conditioning with high levels of proficiency and appropriate intensity for the best results. BUILD is the revolution in functional fitness you’ve been waiting for!
Outside the Box (OTB)
OTB is the best High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program athletes can find at home, on the road, or just getting after it on the go. And all that’s really needed to get started is your body, a pair of dumbbells, and a jump rope.
OTB is designed to give athletes amazing fat-burning and muscle-building workouts 7 days a week with minimal equipment. OTB athletes won’t need to spend hours at the gym to get the results they’re after. Monday through Sunday we’ve got it covered all the way from your Warm Up and Workout to your Cool Down and core Finisher… all in about 45 minutes or less.
Every OTB workout is designed specifically around a major movement focus that will keep athletes on track and guarantee the best results. From our complete “full body” workouts to “push x pull” or “sweat” workouts, athletes get their best workout, every workout!
